I find it fascinating to approach problem solving in a different way than usual.
In fact it's one of my natural traits.
The path to the goal may be longer and a little crazy but it comes purely from me and in visual art this method may not be an issue.
Doing unconventional portraits is a challenge though because at the end of the day no matter how unusual the result is, it's about processing an image of a person with their body, face and soul and it needs to be treated with due respect.
The viewer's perception is therefore sensitive to any deviation from the traditional portrait style.
For me it's a constant balancing act of where those boundaries are.
